The District Governor Rick Rivkinand the Assistant Governor Mary Bak were in attendance as were two guests – Sam Badger’s Chris O’Donnell and Tony Kamich’s Karen Lambert who was representing “conflict Resolution”, a nonprofit group.
 
Tom Nash thanked WN Rotary members Mark Kotz, Joe Nash, Tony Kambich, David Birkenstein, Bill Leske, Patti Van Cleave and Barb Tubekis who helped him collect for Polio in honor of World Polio Day on Oct. 24th at the Winnetka Train Stations. They raised $263 in a short time.
 
Barb Tubekis reported on the October 22nd Volunteer Center’s Annual Make A Difference Day when much “stuff” was donated and taken immediately by the 15 nonprofits present to their clients after the collection was over.
 
Pat O’Day thanked members who donated to his “One World Medical’ fund.
 
The club sang “take me out to the ball game” again as Robert thinks it helped the Cubs win last time!
 
A new member, Greg Nelson from Northfield was inducted into the club by the District Governor, who also gave the program. His theme was “the Power of One’. How one enthusiastic person can spark a world wide movement for good.
 
The November 17th program will be a Thanksgiving Program that will have a speaker and we will collate food for the Good News Partners families that will be delivered on Thanksgiving morning.
