Professor McGinnis will speak on federal judicial confirmations. He will discuss the reasons for increased partisanship and the prospects for the future. He will talk about the way judicial confirmations shape the nature of constitutional law.  He will also discuss specific issues relating to Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination.

John O. McGinnis is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He also has an MA degree from Balliol College, Oxford, in philosophy and theology.
