My personal email account was hacked on Friday, 7/2.   Unfortunately, some of you might have received a strange email from my email address - but written and sent by the hackers .  Please be assured that your erstwhile Bulletin Editor does not need help 'buying a present for my niece,' or 'purchasing gift cards.'

FYI, here is how my attackers did it:  they inserted a fraudulent email address (davidgrant882@gmail.com) into the secondary, back-up email address of my primary Comcast account, which is the same email provider I use to send you the Bulletin.  Then they forwarded all the emails from that original Comcast address to the fake gmail address they set up.  The hackers 'kidnapped' my email account for 3 days, and I did not see any emails until I was able to reverse their hack.  Thank you to those who might have reached out to me, and I regret that I was not able to reply to you if you did - because all my emails were forwarded directly back to the hackers for 3 days.

My apologies to anyone bothered by the fake emails from the hackers - and my inability to respond to you if you reached out to me about the strange request!

Fortunately, the issue has been resolved, and I will continue to use my original Comcast email address, which gratefully is back to normal.
