Patti led today’s meeting. She thanked all the Rotarians who helped her clean the Rotary closet: Safiyyah & Frank, Barb & Tom, and Bob.

Speakers: Liz sourced this program about the Northbrook Symphony, and she introduced the two speakers who came to speak. Her friend Cindy Brady spoke about her involvement on the Board of the Symphony. Also speaking was Mina Zikri, the Music Director of the Symphony. Mina took over the symphony in 2019, just before the pandemic temporarily suspended performances. Mina was born in Cairo Egypt, moved to Europe to study and play violin, and was recruited to Chicago by Daniel Barenboim when Barenboim was Director of the Chicago Symphony.
