President Bob called the meeting to order at 12:20pm.
Thought: Bob reminded us of the significance of the day, historically as D-Day. He asked us to remember those who were involved in DDay and may not have been entirely in support of the war. Fred echoed the DDay theme and also reminded us about the upcoming Children’s Fair. Robert M led us in the Pledge.
After lunch, Robert shared that we had no visiting guests or Rotarians.
Announcements:
--RSVP now for our June 20 Centennial Celebration
--Tony requested that dinner options be added to the bulletin.
--Fred promoted our amazing Farmer’s Market.
--Amy reminded us of the Community House “Rock the Garden” event tonight.
--Barb reminded us that our meeting + board meeting will be at Avli next week.
Happy Bucks:
--Robert “confessed” that even though he is technologically challenged, he was able to register for the Centennial Celebration. He also shared that he is happy to be Greeter (anytime, note to file).
--Moha noted that there are only 11 people from the club registered for the luncheon. Please register!!!!!!
DigNGrin:
--Tony announced that he has a display set up of items from his projects in Uganda and other Rotary projects and events.
Program:
Bill introduced Linda Nelson, Executive Director, and Samantha Unis, teacher from the North Shore Art League. Linda provided us with a history of NSAL, and Sam led us in an experiential drawing exercise (which was quite humbling to many of us, including yours truly).
President Bob adjourned the meeting at 1:30.
