On Thursday, October 6, the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary club will convene at Glencoe Community Garden for Service and Fellowship. This event will take place in lieu of our weekly meeting at Winnetka Community House. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy an afternoon of harvesting crops, fellowship with existing club members, and welcoming potential club members. Guests are welcomed and encouraged to come and participate as well.
The Glencoe Community Garden is a non-profit, sustainable, organic-practicing, food-producing 5,000 sq. ft. mini-farm and garden. 100% of the harvest is donated to local food kitchens, pantries and other charitable organizations. And 100% of our garden is built and harvested by volunteers. The Garden offers a myriad of educational, social action and community opportunities in a safe, cooperative environment accessible to all individuals.
