Operation Warm Impact Report

Bringing Warmth, Confidence, and Hope to Chicago Area Children

Since 2009, our Rotary Club has organized new winter coat distributions in partnership with Operation Warm. 
 
Thanks to our partners- other local Rotary Clubs, businesses, and compassionate citizens- over 16,000 children have received the gift of a brand new winter coat, enabling them to get to school and play outside on cold winter days. 
 
We are especially grateful to all of the committee members, sponsors, and party attendees who have been a part of our annual Operation Warm benefit party. This event has raised over $60,000 in three years- enough to gift coats to 3,000 children. 
 
Coats are provided to children through a variety of beneficiary partners, including:
 
  • Asian Youth Services in Chicago
  • Chicago Public Library Branches- with our Warm Welcome to the Library program that gifts new coats and books to children at a special family events at the library. 
  • Chicago Public Schools- Dennen School of Excellence, Harriet Tubman,  
  • El Valor Carlos Cantu Children & Family Center in Chicago
  • Grandparents and Kins Raising Children Lake County in Beach Park
  • Holy Family Ministries School in Chicago
  • Hope Community Church in Chicago
  • Hope for Youth in Chicago
  • Inner City Impact in Cicero
  • JCYS in Highwood
  • La Casa Norte in Chicago
  • Learner 10 Charter School in North Chicago
  • Maryville Academy in Des Plaines
  • My Joyful Heart in Chicago
  • North Shore School District 112 in Highwood
  • Open Arms Mission in Antioch
